Goku had never really found reading all too enjoyable before, but that had been before he'd actually learnt how to read. It was before he'd realised that the scribbles and the pictures actually made up a story that he could follow really quite easily. The field marshal Tenpou had taught him that.
Now it was hard for Goku to visit his friend and walk away without a book to read. Surprisingly enough the elder man did have a selection of children's picture books that Goku seemed very fond of getting his hands on. Like now for example. He lay sprawled out on the floor with a book propped up in front of him. A book about flying meat buns... Flying cherry buns and some fruit.
The story was irrelevant to Goku at that moment, he just enjoyed the pictures, they were done in great detail. So much so that it normally made him hungry after reading the book. And compared to the Goku in 500 years time, this one didn't eat half as much.
This was his third book now.. And he'd been gone for about five hours. He was just hoping Konzen wouldn't get too angry with him. He was also hoping that Kenren and Tenpou didn't come back anytime soon... In order to find the books he'd wanted he's made quite the mess. It looked as Tenpou's room usually did, books everywhere. But it'd been tidied by the two previously that morning. Goku asn't too keen on cleaning the entire room again. Nataku was meant to be coming back that evening.. He wanted to be there.

Tenpou walked in, dodging the falling avalanch of books with practised ease. He looked around noting the state of the room, Goku on the floor and sighed. "And Kenren had just tidied this up this morning," he then laughed, " though the expression on his face when walks in will be amusing, that is until he's buried under a pile of books." He glanced at Goku "Talking about the angry expresson on people's faces, isn't Konzen looking for you? I thought I saw the servants fleeing from his castle, he'll probably come here next, in which case we should tidy up a bit." He looked around thoughtfully at the mess. "Or maybe enough that Konzen isn't buried under a pile of books, his temper sure to be bad enough to start with, and I'm sure Kenren will enjoy clearing the rest up."

"Ten-Chan!" Goku seemed more excited than anything else at the sight of his friend. Normally a kid of his age might feel a little more worried that Tenpou would be angry, he had, after all, made the room more than a little bit messy. Not Goku though, the fact that he had friends hadn't yet worn off and it showed everytime he spotted one of them walking around the grounds, or if they found him doing whatever he might be doing. Like reading for example. With the book in his hands he scrambled to his feet, looking even smaller wit the stacks of books around him that were taller or the same height as him. He had wanted to make a small castle, but he thought that might be pushing his luck a little bit. The bright, innocent smile upon his face faded just a little bit as Tenpou mentioned Konzen. Not just Konzen in general, an angry Konzen.. That wasn't so good. "He won't be too mad though, i got in no trouble, honest!" And he hadn't. He'd stayed in Tenpou's place all day just looking through books. He'd found some books with lots of pictures, but they'd all been lines and words he couldn't link into a sentence (maps), so he'd put them away again. If Konzen wouldn't believe he'd stayed put all day then he'd just show him Tenpou's place, only Goku could create so much mess in such a little space of time. He bet even Tenpou would have trouble beating what he'd done.
"Konzen will be happy to help too," he chirped brightly, abandoning his book on top of a smaller pile and starting to carry larger paper backs over to a shelf, "he was last time." Er... No. No he wasn't.

[*dies of shock* you answered!!!!]
"I'm sure Konzen will be delighted to help, I'll get you to persuade him seeing as you're better at it than me" Tenpou smiled, if nothing else it would entertaining to watch and he would end up with a clean(-ish) room at the end of it. "Well we should really clear some of these books away from the door if anyone else wants to get in, although" He stopped and thought for a second, his face assuming an expression that made most people run for cover. He brightened and lifted a finger. "We could always use the other exit from my room, and stack the books up next to the door and see how long it takes for either Kenren or Konzen to get in." He paused again. "But then I'll end up with my door being kicked in, maybe not." He wandered over to the books scattered near the door, with his hands in his pockets and then began to pile up the books. "I honestly don't mind you looking at my books collection, later perhaps you'll show me those books you were having troubles with and I'll see if I can explain." He lifted up the stack of books and placed them in the corner furthest from the door. "If you could help with the books closest to the door first...that way i'll save myself of either having my door kicked in when kenren forgets which way the door opens or having to dig konzen out a sea of books." He continued moving the piles of books, looked around and sighed, eventually he would have to get rid of or move some of the books, either that or do something creative with them.

[[-is proud- I know xD]]
Goku disappeared for a moment, the towers of books hiding him from view as he made his way towards the doorway. He's chosen a small route along the wall, one that ended up coming out right beside the door Tenpou was stood at. Bare feet upon the tiled floor were all that could be heard for a moment, then the crashing of a small tower of books that spread over into the middle of the room, a small 'oh..' and then the sound of feet again. Goku asn't all that co-ordinated when it came to walking, especially with the shackles around his wrists and ankles, they weighed him down. He cold walk easily enough now, but they still hurt. "These books?" He asked as soon as he came within touching distance of the Field Marshall. The small golden eyed boy was pointing at the largest pile of books that was teetering dangerously to the side. Goku found it funny to see how high he could get the books before they fell over.. He couldn't get any higher than he'd got, the chair wasn't big enough. "Do we have to Ten-chan?" He asked, his willingness to help had been lowered slightly when Tenpou had given him the same idea that he'd had inside his own head. It would be pretty funny to watch Ken-nii and Konzen be buried in books.. Only until they got out though. He'd probably be hit by Konzen and Kenren would never let him or Tenpou forget what they'd done.
"You'll help me?" He brightened up once more and actually bounced on the spot, suddenly realising that he'd left the book he had been reading back in the place he'd been set. Hm. He'd get it later, it had a bright green cover, wasn't that hard to miss really, "I found one book, it was big and had lots of words in it. I can't remember what it was called though.." He'd only liked it because it was big and had a shiny cover on it. He hadn't even attempted to read it really. He probably won't even be able to find it again...

"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll come across those books eventually." He saw the teetering pile of books that Goku had left. "Maybe stacking the books up won't work." Tenpou watched in the distance as piles of books fell over marking the small child's progress when the piles of books got too high. He was concerned that eventually a pile of books would fall on Goku and he would have to dig him out, like Kenren normally had to dig him out. However due to the way the books had been stacked it would be nearly impossible to reach Goku without getting buried himself and the having to wait for either Konzen or Kenren to dig them out. Tenpou glanced back to where Goku had been sat when he came in, there were some books that looked like some one had tried to pile them into the shape of a castle, and had an idea. " I know you don't really want to move the books, but how about we build a castle out of the books we move, I have some large map books somewhere which you could use as floors and roofs. It'll be much better than the one you started over there." He pointed and started looking for the map books on the distant shelves. The maps he had somewhere were huge as so to allow the army to plan out routes and tactics over large distances without having to turn a page, they were also hardback so they could support a child's weight making them perfect for the purpose Tenpou had in mind. He spotted the books and started working his way over, confident Goku would agree to the idea. He called back to Goku. "You can make the castle as big as you like, as long as I can reach my desk I don't mind." Konzen probably wouldn't approve, but then Konzen didn't approve of most things, and doing this would keep Goku out of trouble for a little while longer.

"Stacking the books up is fun though," he insisted, a small pile of books now in his arms. Goku could never keep still for very long, and as Tenpiu had asked him to help clear up he'd made his midn to actualyl do so. So when the Field Marshall was paying more attention to the rest of the room Goku had begin trying to stack some books into his arms. He could caryy quite a lot of them, but balancing them would be the biggest problem. He couldn't actually see over the books in his arms at the moment. But that didn't stop him from shuffling forwards towards Tenpou's voice. "I can!" Came his excited reply to Tenpou's idea, he'd sped up a little looking around the books to see where he was going, "then Ken-nii won't be mad at me for ruining his hard work this morning, right?" Because hopefully, Kenren would enjoy the book castle as well... He probably wouldn't, he'd probably just tell Goku he was stupid or a little pain in the ass. But the little monkey was much happier thinking the General would like to join in the fun that was castle making ^^

[well done...hope it means you can still reply]
Tenpou finally reached te shelf he wanted and started pulling out the huge map books and putting them in a pile ready to carry over to Goku. "You know if you were to build 2 castles on opposite sides on the room then when Kenren coms back he could join in. I'm sure he has some slingshots being the trouble maker he is, if not I could rig up something for you both. Whilst you're doing that I'll hide under my desk, or at least watc from a safe distance." He pulled out the last map book,a books nearly the size of goku only to realise the size of the pile he'd made. "Goku could you come and help me move these books?" H e couldn't see the small child but he see a large pile of books slowly shuffling their way over in his direction. If nothing else it was an amusing sight.

[[haha, yea ^^ I took the keys out and cleaned it, it's alright now]]
"But what if i hurt him?" He asked, you didn't need to see his face to know that he was smiling. Instead of worrying about the older, bigger General hurting his small little self, he was more worried about himself hurting Kenren. Says a lot about the monkey's personality really, "Two castles? Nu-uh, Ken-nii will have to make his own castle, if i make it and it's stronger than my own then that's not fair." Though, if that ever did happen i can imagine Goku would just run out of his own crumpled book castle and throw himself omto the walls of Kenren's burying the General alive ^^ "Ken-nii might aim for you anyway," he informed the Field Marshall, laughing suddenly, "he's mean like that." Goku wobbled slightly as he avoided a couple of lone books upon the floor, but he managed to stay upright. He had almost neared where Tenpou was, so he bent down slowly to the floor, eventually putting the books upon the floor right near his feet, though, unfortunately for him he'd also placed the pile upon one of the chais around his ankle. Which meant that as soon as he bounced away the pile came tumbling to the floor. "Whoops.."

Tenpou watched with concern as Goku knocked a pile of books over, luckily they didn't knock over anyother piles resulting in the likehood of Goku and Tenpou being buried. Clouds of dust billowed up and Tenpou coughed. "Maybe Kenren didn't clean up as well as he said as he did." He went to brush lab coat down only to find it had turned a nice shade of grey. He laughed "Well I needed to have it washed anyway." He picked up some of the map books and began carrying them over to a (relatively) clear space in the room. "As for Kenren aiming at me, well. " He laughed again. "I said I may hide under my desk, but I'm sure I could find another slingshot and join in the fun." He put the book down and made a vain attempt to dust himself off. "And don't worry about hurting Kenren, he's suffered worse, that I'm sure of." He began walkig back over to Goku.
